Skype not working? Manually add your SnapEngage visitor contacts!

Once you have configured your agent in the “Agent” tab of your configurator and clicked the “Save” button, the SnapEngage contacts should be sent through to your Skype account.  On the rare occasion that the contacts are not sent automatically, you will need to manually add them as described below.

The name of your SnapEngage contacts is based on the creation date of your account. To view the name of your SnapEngage contacts click here.

The following process will show you how to manually add your SnapEngage contacts into Skype if you are using Windows or Mac.


Windows

1) Login to your Skype account.

2) Select the “Add a contact” icon.

3) In the “skypename” field, type the name of your SnapEngage contact and click the “Add a contact” button.

4) Next, click “Send”.

5) Your SnapEngage contact will automatically accept your request and you should now see your SnapEngage contact as green/online in your contact list.

6) Repeat this process for the remaining three SnapEngage contacts.


Mac

1) Login to your Skype account.

2) Click the “Contacts” side tab and then click the “Add Contact” button.

3) In the “skypename” field, type the name of your SnapEngage contact and click the green “Add” button.

4) Next, click “Send”.

5) Your SnapEngage contact will automatically accept your request and you should now see your SnapEngage contact as green/online in your contact list.

6) Repeat this process for the remaining three SnapEngage contacts.
